Camera Boom Conversion Kit

Often we struggle to have a good camera mount, using those tripods takes up quite an amount of space anywhere you put it. Scissor arm or Mic Boom is ideal for the job but didn't have the right mounting yet.

This is the adapter to convert Ikea Tertial and any Mic Boom arm so that you are able to mount your small camera or phone for recording.

BOM & Assembly:

1x M8 Washer

1x M8 Spring Washer or equivalent

M8 Threaded Rod or equivalent

2x M8 Nut

Mini Tripod Head

Have a short threaded rod roughly 5cm, unscrew and remove the existing rod originally for the mic, loosen the screw holding the rod clamp earlier to enable the desired threaded rod to be inserted. There may be resistance when inserting it. It is highly suggested to replace the screw holding the clamp to a better Hex screw than sticking to a cheap bolt screw that might worn down in the future. Once the desired threaded rod has been inserted, tighten the clamping screw and ensure there are resistance when testing the angle for the threaded rod that was inserted earlier. Dismantle the cheap mini tripod and take the head only, along with the screws if you can. Next to mount the mini tripod head onto the M8 Adapter part befor sliding in the threaded rod nut, else the screw unable to bind the tripod head. Next insert these parts in the following order to the threaded rod; Nut>Wing Nut>Spring Washer>Washer>Mounted tripod head. Tighten both nut from tripod head and wing nut and spring washer should prevent the nut becoming loose overtime.

The assembly process for this one is straight forward compared to Mic Boom conversion. Unscrew all of the lamp parts, you may take out the wire too if you desire. Dismantle the mini tripod and take the head only, then insert M4 screw through the lamp adapter part and screw the tripod head onto the printed part. Place both adapter and adapter mount to the lamp mounting, insert both nut from the side and screw the adapter in position just like how you opened the lamp earlier. 

Now enjoy your just converted scissor arm into Camera Boom.
